Team Tastebase

• We're Phil and Alex the food-obsessed friends behind Tastebase. Our backgrounds are in finance, community, design, and all things delicious. We met a couple of years ago over our shared love for food and have been building tastebase ever since.

• For us, snacks are more than just snacks*.* They’re our color in a colorless world. Our escape. Our haven. Our portal to another dimension. **Like Ratatouille once said ‘Good food is like music you can taste, color you can smell.’ We couldn’t agree more. Our aim is to rethink the way consumers view the snack category

From my first job as a coffee barista at Philz’ Coffee, to my snack-fueled nights during my time in finance and startups, food has been a way of life for me. Melding my two passions of building companies + snacking is my dream. Welcome to my dream. You can always catch me with a cup of coffee + book on my desk.
  • Hello, I’m Alex! I've spent my career building community and experiences that I love. I spent 8 years at Yelp as their Senior Director of Community in Chicago and London. Most recently I was at Culture Trip as their Director of Experiences. Before that, I spent time at Bumble as one of their first brand managers. I love bad movies and hate protein bars.
